How To Prepare Yourself For A Civil Engineering Interview
Hello friends hope You all learning a lot from my blog related to civil engineering. This time we are discuss how to prepare for civil engineering interview. Civil engineering interviews are very different from other engineering branches. In this post I am writing with my own experience in interviews. so lets start .
1st and most important point is Research :
1st you have to know about what kind of company it is and what services they provide so it is important to research basic information about the company or organisation.
Example: If you are going for a interview in L&T company. It is a construction company so interviewer must ask Questions related to buildings, bridges, and related to building construction. And if you have interview in a company who manufactures cement like A.C.C. Then interviewer ask about cement like initial setting time, final setting time, and who cement is manufactured.
2nd you have to compare your skills to the job profile:
For Example: If you are specialization is in Quantity surveying. You should apply for the job when your resume and your skills fulfill all the requirements of job profile. Just don't apply for any random jobs.
3rd about your looks what to wear for an Interview:
Who you looks is also very important factor so you have to look professional and neat and clean. 1st impression is your last impression so try to wear professional shoes, wrist watch and formal shirt with light color.
4th what to bring for a Civil Engineering Interview:
Along with your all the documents you must carry a pen and a notepad with you for an interview.
5th last but not the least your Body-language:
Smile on your face when you enter in room and an eye contact with interviewer and a firm handshake and wish him like "Nice to meet you".
Always sit up straight and comfortably and look confident never shake your hands and foots they are nervous gestures so avoid them.
Maintain a good eye contact but don't stare while addressing all aspects of an interviewer's questions and don't place anything on desk.
Your facial expressions must be positive and look confident every time and at the end of your interview end your conversation with "Good Day Sir"
